Two types that shouldn’t be tolerated on Thanksgiving are liars and censors. After 60 years of struggle why hasn’t a state of Palestine been recognized? If you listen to the rhetoric of people like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL), Eric Cantor (R-VA), Steve Israel (D-NY) and of organizations like AIPAC the answer to that question becomes clear. In June 1964 after years of worldwide inaction on a Palestinian state the militant Plastinian Liberation Organization (PLO) was formed. Israel and the American Zionists immediately called it a “terrorist group.” In late 1987 the even more militant Hamas was formed in the wake of the PLO’s failure to have the world recognize a Palestinian state. They too were labeled a “terrorist organization.” Unless and until the U.S. makes Israel and the Zionists “do the right thing” terrorism and war will only escalate. Happy Thanksgiving one and all.

I looked it up and found that Will Rogers died in 1935, 12 years before Hillary Rodham Clinton was born, and 16 years before AIPAC was founded.

Once again the United Sates has backed the wrong horse in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. We threw billions of dollars at Abbas’ PLA (PLO) in the West Bank. Hamas was declared a terrorist organization. While we were giving our support to Abbas, Netanyahu undercut him in every poosible way. The US now finds itself in the silly position of negotiating with Abbas about a two-state solution which Netanyahu pays lip service to while he builds new settlements in violation of UN Resolutions 242 (1967) and 338 (1973). In the meantime Hamas has become the center of Palestinian power and Israel and the U.S. won’t even talk to them. Who’s running our foreign policy? AIPAC and the Zionists?
