  1. The Left must stop being suckered into using the word “entitlements”. Social Security is an insurance program. Medicare is an insurance program. We all pay into them during our working lives. They are not “gifts” from the government. As for Obama. He can promise to sell his lovely wife into slavery to get a deal. But he has no vote in the fiscal cliff matter. The House and Senate members vote. Obama can promise anything he’d like but in the end the only weapon he has is a veto.

  2. Boehner’s internal problems just may be so acute that he fumbles the ball. The horse trade is a jackass for a thoroughbred. If Obama makes it we ride out on the donkey. After the first of the year we get the donkey anyways. The Republicans won’t get caught in the double bind of holding entitlements hostage for the middle class tax cuts. If they dare to close the government down on the debt ceiling and hold out for Medicare and Social Security cuts, the politicaL calculus says the Democrats will let them reap the winds. After those two leverage points get passed, the politics of “you first” make entitlement cuts a lot more difficult. We can only hope that Boehner continues to over value his ass.

  3. Oh Imhotep – poor poor poor Obama. Such a useless pathetic president he has no powers whatsoever. But lets not be unfair and blame him for anything since he’s completely powerless and a weakling.

  4. …offer-counteroffer, horse-trade. What’s the diff? I’ve got a fucking horse-trade for him.

    (Howyoudoin’ NSA?)

    Delete at will, susie.;.)

  5. Hey, Obama let us know back in 2007 that he was gonna stick it to us regarding SocSec and Medicare.

And I don’t know how to stop him, unless the Tea Partiers won’t let Boehner make the right “trade.”

But our futures and the futures of our children for generations are at risk from this ersatz Democratic president.

  6. …something beyond pitchforks? Does the NSA account for punctuation?

    Golly, I certainly hope so.
