What’s the possibility of putting up an ‘Open Thread’ on Saturday and Sunday mornings?
I saw Zevon in the spring of 1980 at Cornell. He was great, and he did Lawyers Guns and Money. That was a great weekend. I think that was the same weekend we saw Patti Smith. She showed some weird Mapplethorpe movie before the concert where she was wandering around a room with sheer, long white curtains and, as I recall, marble busts all around. It was very arty and I never appreciated it, even in retrospect, but we had made some amazing brownies so both concerts were exceptional. Everything was exceptional. I could have broken a leg and enjoyed it that weekend.
