They can’t criticize him for reality, because he’s doing what they’d do. So they attack because he’s blah. And since that’s not really PC (about which they do not give one shit, but they need to recruit), they just make up dogwhistle shit out of whole cloth.
When you think about it, these demented attacks do serve a purpose in the Kabuki script deceptively portrayed as a ‘two-party’ democracy. It deflects time devoted to legitimate criticism to futile appeals for rationality among those that just want to see the world burn. The Corporate Media can avoid discussing DRONE WARS or shredding of the Constitution by pointing to the spittle flecked ravings of conservatives, “Hey, look over there. Hah, hah! Aren’t they silly?”
