  1. The former Sand Point Naval Air Station on Lake Washington in Seattle is now home to NOAA and Magnusun Park. On the NOAA side of the property is a sculpture consisting of 12 steel towers from which large organ pipes are suspended. Vanes at the top catch the wind and rotate the pipes to optimize the tone quality. This Soundgarden inspired the name of the band.
The path along the water has a gate between the park and the NOAA shores. The gate has been locked since late 2001, so you can’t get as close as was possible before 9/11. Must protect the government from the people.
