Clearly Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel knows something that the rest of us don’t. Why else would he tell the 350,000 furloughed civilian and contract employees who work in the defense department to go back to work? Maybe Hagel found a hidden pot of gold in the deep recesses of the Pentagon? Or maybe he knows exactly when this charade of a government shutdown will end? Isn’t it about time for the high priests of politics to quit lying to us and come clean? After all it’s our money that they’re stealing.
