  1. Yes, it’s cool. Back in the olden days when I was a little kid, lots of neighborhood bakeries would do this, for free or pennies. Home kitchens didn’t have the big ranges with 6 burners and a huge oven then. “Ron, run over to Farabi’s and ask Mr. Farabi when we can pick up the turkey . . . and see if he’s got any day old, I need some more for the dressing.” I’m a sucker for the smell of fresh baked bread to this day. Holidays were a real neighborhood thing.
