“18.9 million whites are poor. That’s 8 million more poor white people than poor black people, and more than 5 million more than those who identify as Latino.”
***********************
So that means 11 million poor blacks and 14 million poor Latinos for a total of 44 million poors, not even counting other ethnic group. In what world is 19 million “most” of the over 44 million poors? Most means more than half, it does not mean a plurality. Of course most journalists can’t do simple arithmetic or follow simple logic, so I doubt they are familiar with the word plurality, even though you would think vocabulary might be their strong suit. This is why I normally stop reading past the first paragraph of any articles involving science, medicine, economics or even the simplest statistics that is not written by professionals in the field (and usually the stupid hits you hard in the face in that first paragraph when it is written by the general purpose dumbass journalists). Anything that follows cannot be trusted.
