And for some reason, the corporate media seems to be ignoring it. I’ve been looking for stories for the past several days, and none of the major outlets have mentioned it. Some of this is the outcome of that recent snow, by the way, because when it snowed, it all melted and flooded the place. But it’s been going on for weeks.

It’s unfortunate for the people living in Gaza that Hamas was a creation of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. Unfortunate because neither Israel or Egypt could care less if they live or die. Sure the Israelis provide the minimum number of calories allowed by international law to each person living in Gaza so there won’t be mass starvation. But not one calorie more. Israel also provides enough fuel and cooking oil so that thousands don’t freeze to death. But nothing more. The military dictatorship in Egypt has done its part by meeting the Israeli demand that they shut down the smuggling tunnels dug between Gaza and Egypt. So no more smuggled fuel, cooking oil, food, medicine, or anything else gets into Gaza from the Egyptian side. We should take a minute to talk about the new Egyptian Constitution to be voted on in January. That Constitution will grant the Egyptian military full autonomy. It can do what it wants whenever it wants and is answerable to no one. It looks like the people of Gaza will continue to die at the hands of the Israelis and the Egyptian military unless the world gets involved. Why our media doesn’t report any of this is obvious. AIPAC.
