Netanyahu’s hard right Zionist government will announce after the first of the year the construction of 2000 new settler homes in the occupied West Bank. The PLA has threatened to take Netanyahu and his governmet to the Hague if he follows through on his plans. Clearly the two-state solution is as dead as a doornail at this point. The only way forward is a one-state solution. As for Hamas. Pressure is being applied on Netanyahu by both Egypt and Saudi Arabia for him to crack down hard on Hamas. Egypt and Saudi Arabia are Sunni. Hamas is a Shiite organization. There is an out in the open sectarian war going on in the Middle East right now.
