Let’s talk about gay rights for a moment but not in the context of pedophilia. Whose record is worse when it comes to violating the rights of homosexuals Russia or Saudi Arabia? It’s Saudi Arabia hands down. So why is the U.S. giving Russia such a hard time on this issue and saying nothing about Saudi Arabia’s bloody record? Because our problem with Russia has nothing to do with gay folks. That’s a smokescreen. Here’s why. The Ukraine is on the verge of civil war. Do you see the invisible hand of the CIA at work here? Syria is in a state of civil war. Again the CIA. Then there’s the big two: Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The U.S. military and the CIA lost their military base in Uzbekistan last year. They will lose their military base in Kyrgyzstan this year. Those two bases were critical to the U.S. war effort in Afghanistan. (Pakistan is unreliable because it’s population is too educated.) Russia is reasserting itself in the Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan and is standing firm with its long time ally Syria. Therefore Russia is twarting the U.S. war effort in Central Asia (Cheney’s big plan) and are really pissed off about it. At least the 1% is. (Certainly those in the 99% who were going to die in these stupid forever wars and now won’t aren’t all that upset.) That’s why the U.S. is bringing up the gay issue with Russia. In reality the 1% couldn’t care less about what happens to gay folks either here in America or around the world. Politicians are masters of illusion.
