Damned libruls

Whack job teabagger has a sad because dirty hippie journalists refuse to act like wingnut nonsense has any basis in fact:

Willamette Week staffers recently met with Oregon Republican U.S. Senate candidates and things got lively when reporter Nigel Jaquiss was caught writing “blah blah blah blah” in his notebook while candidate Jo Rae Perkins, on the telephone, gave a very long answer to a question.
blahblah
Mark Callahan, another candidate, pointed it out:

I see what you’re writing down there. You just wrote down “blah blah blah blah” for everything that Jo Rae said. Jo Rae is a respectful woman. Why are you not respecting her by writing “blah blah blah blah” in your notepad?

Callahan continued to protest Jaquiss’s “note-taking,” then was asked his view on climate change.

“It’s a myth,” he said.

“Where are you on the Easter bunny?” Jaquiss asked.

Callahan didn’t like that.

Are these really the questions that I was called here to answer? I called you out for putting “blah blah blah” on your notepad on now you’re asking me questions like this? Really? Really, are we talking about this now?

“Can I now move on and get the response from somebody else?” asked the alt-weekly moderator. “And if you’re not going to let me, I’m going to ask you to leave.”

Callahan continued to talk and was ordered out of the room. Before departing, he told the journalists they were “disrespectful, thin-skinned liberals.”

  1. This is perfect. Callahan has a right to his opinion. Wrong as it might be. Jaquiss is an asshole. Plain and simple. Who gives a shit what any reporters personal opinions are? Or the opinion of any moderator? A reporters job is to report. A moderators job is……to be a censor? A reporters job is not to decide what to report. A moderators job is to……..pick winners and losers? Who died and appointed reporters and moderators kings and queens of the universe? No wonder the general public is so stupid.

  2. It’s unfortunate that their editors are so enamored of the Wrong-wing. Reporters catch a lot of shit for the obsequiousness of their editorial staff.
