Thanks Susie. I met Marvin at the Motown Revue in 1967 at the FOX theater in Detroit. Syretta Wright and I had been soul mates together at Ferris State College (now a University) in Big Rapids, Michigan. She left school with an angelic vocal career and joined Motown as a secretary to Berry Gordy. She asked me to quit school and come along, but my folks both worked their asses off to send me to college, so as much as my heart and other parts of my anatomy wanted to be in the spotlight with Marvin and all the incredible talent I was being introduced to, I stayed in school and eventually succeeded in my own way!
