Two scientists say they’ve uncovered hidden chambers in the Great Pyramid of Giza. Discovered using an advanced X-ray technique the chambers are completely isolated from all other tombs and passages in the 4,500 year-old structure. The discovery was made by Scan Pyramids, a research project involving universities and advanced scientific instruments. Using a combination of thermography, 3D simulation and radiography imaging, the team discovered anomalies in the structure indicating the presence of holes beneath the rock.

I was going to say “fascinating stuff”, but you beat me to it.
Too bad that more of the world’s efforts don’t into cooperative ventures like this, rather than destructive activity.
Very exciting, yes. But stuff like this always brings to mind Geraldo and Al Capone’s secret chamber.
But Geraldo’s archeological license was suspended after that.
