Ethics Panel opens probe into House ethics chair

I just had to laugh when I heard about this. Pat Meehan was the county DA in the corrupt Republican area I used to cover, and somehow he managed to install this thin veneer of integrity when he was installed as U.S. attorney. I’m pleased to see his life catch up with him:

    But the Democrats should all be brought up on ethics charges if any of them vote “Yes,” along with the Republicans, to pass the illegal 2018-19 budget bill.

    The Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 sets strict budget caps on all spending.

    The military portion of the 2018-19 budget bill exceeds those budget caps by a factor of 10, making the entire bill illegal.

    Congress must either repeal the Bipartisan Budget Act or stick to its spending caps.
