Considering Bill Barr’s track record, I’m surprised that the Dems seem reluctant to draw blood in this hearing:
Barr told the @nytimes there was a "far stronger" basis for investigating the Clinton Foundation or Uranium One than "so-called 'collusion.'"

Barr could not fairly reach that judgment, given how little we know publicly. He prejudged the Mueller investigation and should recuse. https://t.co/qgliw53VDK
Klobuchar asks whether Barr would ever allow the jailing of a journalist "for doing their job." Barr won't directly answer, then says, basically, yes, telling her that "there could be a situation where someone would be held into contempt."

Now Cruz asks Barr about his views on religious liberty.

Barr says the Framers believed in self control which ultimately came from religious values
I believe in the separation of church and state, Barr says, then says he's worried about gov't suppression of religion
Blackburn asks Barr about Facebook and Google "violating users' privacy and recklessly sharing users' personal data with third parties without explicit permission."

Barr has a terrible record on privacy: https://t.co/HUoIgHzphr pic.twitter.com/W7FbvY35m3

Barr is a right wing ideological hack.
But at least he’s well versed in the law, knows how government works and isn’t the embarrassment that Whitaker is.
Which makes the Democrats more comfortable with him as the AG.
Proving once again that the Democrats, especially those in the Senate, are self-interested plutocrats who think of the people as rubes ripe for plundering.
Republicans are the “enemy of the people.”
