Republican senators break with party line over War Powers Act

Rand Paul and Mike Lee say they’ll vote with the Democrats, which means they only need two more Republicans. How likely is that?

  1. Trump is a liar who can’t be trusted. The same can be said about Pence, and Pompeo.

Trump is now surrounded by enemies in Iraq.
Not only did he assassinated Iran’s General Soleimani, he also assassinated a top Shiite Iraqi general overseeing the Iraqi militia forces.

That death turned the Iraqi Shiite’s against Trump.
The Iraqi Sunni’s have been fighting against American forces since we invaded their country 17 years ago.
Both ISIS and al Qaeda are Sunni groups.

The Iraqi Sunni’s and the Iraqi Shiites have joined forces with Iranian’s to kick the US out of Iraq and the region, because the “enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Osama bin Laden was a stateless terrorist.
Iranian General Soleimani was a high ranking officer in the Iranian army.

Apparently Republicans and their supporters (“enemies of the people”) can’t discern the difference between the status of these two men.

Are we back to the bad old days when the United States roamed the world assassinating world leaders whenever we wanted? We all know what lies at the end of that dead end road.
