A few weeks ago our intelligence agencies leaked a story to the NYTimes that accused the Russian’s of offering a “bounty” for every American scalp taken in Afghanistan.
Today on a flight back to the US after having visited a dozen countries in his command portfolio, General Frank McKenzie, commander of the US Central Command (the Middle East, Africa, Egypt and Central and South Asia) said that after a through investigation he had found “no evidence” to substantiate any of the claims made by our intelligence community relating to a “Russian bounty.”
Yesterday our intelligence community began spreading a story about the evil Russian’s (GRU) hacking into the computers of Big Pharma in order to steal proprietary research relating to coronavirus vaccines.
That may be industrial espionage which is subject to legal action but, it’s certainly not an act of war.
As a matter of fact the only people who actually care about this possible Russian indiscretion are the Capitalists funding the research.
Us common folks really don’t give a damn who sells us the vaccine as long as it’s safe to use.
So why is this story even circulating?
Neo-liberal warmongers like Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) (who, by the way, hurt Hillary in 2016) are trying to move a $740 billion dollar military spending bill through Congress.
The Military Industrial Complex needs enemies in order to justify the billions that they want congress to appropriate for them to spend on building newer and fancier weapons of death.
Those enemies are today who they’ve been for decades.
The Communists–Russia, China and North Korea–and also any country Israel believes to be its enemy.
End the war in Afghanistan, dismantle the MIC and wean the Israelis off the American money teat.
