Someone help me understand the righteous outrage at this very unsurprising “revelation.” Of course Russia is attempting to affect politics in the US for its own benefit. You can be sure they are doing the same in Europe and elsewhere. The only really concerning part is that Trump likely actively participated and encouraged the interference. But that’s on US ultimately, part of the rot of our own political and legal systems. Note that Trump has been a crook and a scumbag for his whole life. He’s finally been charged with crimes, prosecuted, found guilty, and he’s still out there wheeling and dealing. It’s ok of you are rich and politically powerful. Laws are for the little people.
Speaking of Russia, we do it too, and worse. We interfere directly in elections, fund campaigns of candidates we like, apply economic sanctions, intervene and occupy militarily, encourage prosecutions/assassinations of leaders we don’t like, etc. It’s ok if you’re the “good guys?”
