  1. Will Bunch is wrong about a newspaper’s right to lie. It’s right there is the name: they’re telling people they’re providing information. They’re not calling themselves “Amazing Stories From A Time That Never Was.”

    There is no right to lie when you’re promising to inform people. That’s why there are truth in advertising laws. That’s why there are rules about fiduciary responsibility. There aren’t any truth in politics laws because the politicians can’t bear to pass them. That doesn’t mean it’s okay to pollute the environment with mental garbage.
