My dad was a goddamn Republican, but I will always adore him for getting the family the fuck out of Oklahoma the year before I was born. He took a lot of shit from family members who had reinforced holes in their back yards to hide in during tornadoes because he was subjecting his young family to California earthquakes.
I don’t remember which recent year it was that Oklahoma had more 3+ earthquakes per square mile than California, but to me it was a hoot.
