Nobody in their right mind thought that Trump would win the election. So Russia’s interference in the election would become a moot point after Hillary’s victory. That’s the way Obama and the Democratic establishment viewed the problem.
Actually the Republican Party’s suppression of the vote in many states had more to do with Trumps win than Russia’s interference did.
That and the fact that married, white, women, as usual, voted for Republican Trump and not Democrat Hillary. That is SOP for that part of the electorate.
These women vote election after election on one issue and one issue only: Jobs.
Jobs produce income and a steady income allows for the survival of a family.
Hillary had no message for these married, white, women.
Bernie did.
Trump simply stole Bernie’s message and conned lots of foolish people into believing that he would accomplish what Bernie planned to do, only he would do it better, cheaper and faster.
Lights out for the Democratic Party.
This happened too: Obama presided over a political Pearl Harbor-an unprovoked assault on American democracy, and with no compelling reason to believe that it won’t happen again.
This would be worthy of the right wing Clinton press. It is emblematic of the divisions that will cause the midterms to be a disaster.
