Paul Ryan helped to engineer the passage of the tax cut and he lied all the way through the process.
The Republicans plan to run a trillion dollar deficit every year for the foreseeable future.
They are spending too much on the military—$350 billion a year too much—–and they are collecting far too little in tax revenue——$650 billion a year too little——just to benefit the 1% and to prop up Trump.
But the Republicans have come up with a solution to this disastrous problem.
They intend to make the individual tax cut permanent, add tax shelters for the wealthiest 10% to take advantage of, and give additional tax write-offs to corporations.
That will help reduce our deficit how?
It won’t and Ryan and his corrupt cronies in Congress know that it won’t.
