Just when it looked like it couldn’t get any worse for the people of Venezuela it did when yesterdays US backed coup against Maduro failed miserably.
The Trump administration destroyed the economy of Venezuela in 2017 when Trump sanctioned the country, its oil industry and it’s leaders.
Trumps sanctions prevented Venezuela from participating in the US run International Monetary Fund, which effectively shut down the countries ability to conduct normal financial business or trade with other countries.
Outraged that those sanctions, which lead to the collapse of Venezuela’s economy, did not drive Maduro from office, coup leaders Pence, Pompeo, Bolton and Rubio attempted to remove him using a violent coup to do it.
That is a violation of both US and international law.
Which is why Bolton, Pence and the rest were running around all day yesterday yelling, “It wasn’t a coup. It wasn’t a coup.”
Guido and the other Venezuelan traitors should be arrested and thrown in prison.
Trump and Pence should be impeached for their role in this illegal and bloody coup.
Pompeo, Bolton and Rubio should all be censured, sanctioned, arrested, put on trial and then thrown in jail.
