How strange
The pursuit of profit at all costs makes people do criminal things.
Full employment isn’t everything that it’s cracked up to be for example.
Unemployment on 17th, 18th and 19th-century southern plantations was always at 0%.
Wages, however, were well below the level of subsistence if they existed at all.
