Apparently Nancy Pelosi and her team (leaders need not apply) feel that the American people are too simple-minded to digest Trumps many crimes—–obstruction of justice, emoluments, illegal campaign contributions, misfeasance in office, malfeasance in office, etc.——-if presented to them in a comprehensive way during an expansive impeachment inquiry, so they’ve decided to focus solely on the Ukraine Caper.
Nancy Pelosi likes to quote Lincoln.
One of her favorite Lincoln quotes is “Public sentiment is everything.”
Nancy Pelosi believes that Lincoln meant that politicians should follow public opinion.
But what Lincoln was saying was that it’s the job of a politician to shape public opinion.
Leadership versus Followship. (Was the Civil War popular among the electorate?)
If you are one of those 15 remaining Democratic House members who is still opposed to impeaching Trump then you are either a thoroughly corrupt human being or a Republican bootlicker.
Either way you are a big disgrace.
It is kristol clear that the Republicans are the “enemy of the people.”
