Just saw a TV show about Shepherdstown, West Virginia, which was settled in 1730. It’s right across the river from Sharpsburg, Maryland, where the Battle of Antietam took place. And the WHOLE DAMN TOWN is haunted! In fact, the police chief hired an team of paranormal investigators because the cops can’t keep up with all the calls!
“I saw this lady in a long white dress floating across the porch, so I called the cops. I didn’t know what else to do.”
They think many of the hauntings are connected to the fact that the Rebs used the town buildings as Civil War hospitals for all their wounded. But not all of the ghosts are related to the war — one little girl was drowned after the Johnstown flood came downstream.
Anyway, if you like ghost stories, you should like this show.
Ghosts of Shepherdtown is on Tubi, the Roku Channel, Plex, Amazon Prime, and Discovery Plus.

Like UFOs may not be aliens, apparitions may not be ghosts . . . but they sure are something. And not that noise about mass hysteria.
