Psycho Elon has a plan, and this is part of it:
Social Security has never missed a benefit payment since the program first began sending individuals monthly benefits more than eight decades ago.
But the recent actions at the U.S. Social Security Administration by Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency are putting monthly benefit checks for more than 72.5 million Americans at risk, former commissioner and former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley told CNBC.com.
“Ultimately, you’re going to see the system collapse and an interruption of benefits,” O’Malley said. “I believe you will see that within the next 30 to 90 days.”
Ahead of any interruption in benefits, “people should start saving now,” O’Malley said.

Musk is a fan of “long termism.”
That’s the belief that a path leading to more humans in the long term will maximize the good of the many. The price paid by a few mere billions now is just the cost of doing business.
For instance, a galactic civilization would have trillions of people, so anything leading to that is infinitely more important than other things that conflict with it in the here and now. Starlink and going to Mars, for example, trump (sorry) preventing famines.
Obviously, there’s about a million magic asterisks there. There’s no guarantee you’ll ever get a galactic civilization. There’s no way of knowing, now, what gets us there. There’s no evidence that Musk’s idea of happiness is anyone else’s. Etc etc etc.
He’s also a fan of accelerationism. That’s the thinking that all the people slowing down our transformation into something out of Asimov, are going to plug up progress forever. Accelerating the destruction of dead wood will get us to heaven faster. (I paraphrase.)
The reason his wrecking ball spree looks like thoughtless destruction is because it IS. That’s a feature. Not a bug.
