There is simple Republican formula at work here: first you bankrupt “it” and then you privatize “it.” That is a tried and true Capitalist model. Never let the government operate anything that a Capitalist can make a buck off. There are 90 thousand private contractors in Afghanistan and 88 thousand American troops. So in effect the war in Afghanistan has been privatized. Making war brings big profits to Capitalists.
