When You Have Nothing To Hide, You Hide Nothing

That Dr. Phil, he’s a smart one. “When you have nothing to hide, you hide nothing.” He says it all the time - to alcoholics, shoplifters, unfaithful spouses and binge eaters.
Shame he forgot to mention it when he interviewed Bubble Boy and Pickles. Oh well.
Anyway, via Pontificator: The White House has announced it will not release John Roberts’ tax returns:
The Bush administration will not give Senate investigators access to federal tax returns of Supreme Court nominee John G. Roberts Jr., White House and congressional officials said yesterday, a break with precedent that could exacerbate a growing conflict over document disclosure in the confirmation process.
Although nominees to the high court in recent decades were required to provide their three most recent annual tax forms, the administration will neither collect such documents from Roberts nor share them with the Senate Judiciary Committee, the officials said. Instead, the Internal Revenue Service will produce a one-page summary.
Hmm. What are they hiding?
And does anybody in this gang ever tell the truth about anything?

WTF????????????
they don’t tell the truth because they don’t have to i guess.
unbelievable. scary too.
I’m beginning to think they lie and conceal things as a natural reflex. Though, you know there’s some nefarious reason Bush picked Roberts. The guy has only been a Judge for two years.
They hide everything they can … even if there is no need to hide it … I think the reason for this is that if they try and conceal everythhing the press and the people will just get tired of looking … and that the things they truly want to hide will be missed in the masive amout of stuff the refuse to show us …
Al Hill is probably right. There is a needle or two they don’t want anyone to find, so they are building a haystack over them.
Makes sense - I run all my junk mail through the shredder, not just the stuff with theftworthy information, for that reason.
