So the Republicon crooks who are running Kentucky thought they were home free when their equally crooked governor decided he’d merely pardon them all.
Uh, not so fast, fellas.
You can’t pardon somebody just because they’re indicted. There has to be a fine or a sentence to remit. You can’t nullify something that doesn’t yet exist.
Dumbasses.
UPDATE: This is according to the specific language in Kentucky’s state constitution. Your mileage may vary.

since when did the criminal party worry about little details like the law?
Hmmm, when Ford pardoned Nixon, it was “for all offenses against the United States which he… committed or may have committed or taken part in during the… (dates of his presidency).”
There was no indictment, trial, or sentence to remit.
I realize the US Constitution’s pardon power is absolute, but I wonder how much a state’s constitution might confer in this case. I bet it varies by state.
So all of the political fallout, without any of the legal benefits. How sweet is that!
