Ripple Effect

The effect of Katrina on the global economy is almost inmeasurable, because New Orleans is the world’s fifth largest port.
It’s unbelievable that the MBA president cut the funding for programs that would have addressed this inevitable disaster.
Of course, he’s also spent five years ignoring the glocal warming that scientists warned would lead to more frequent and more powerful hurricanes.

Can I point out a mistake in what you’ve said here?
A catagory 5 storm hitting New Orleans is, sooner than later, inevitable. The disaster now striking in New Orleans was very much evitable, but for the mendacity and avarice of the Bush administration.
