You see, the criminals aren’t the people who are breaking the law to spy on Americans - they’re the people who blew the whistle. Just so you know…

Bad Behavior has blocked 14138 access attempts in the last 7 days.
Both are criminals and should be investigated equally. The leaking of the information was just as illegal as the leaking of Valerie Plame’s name and really more dangerous. So if this shouldn’t be investigated I guess we should call off Fitzmas and apologize to Scooter Libby (but still make fun of his name).
This is not to say that legality of the evesdropping shouldn’t be investigated and if laws were broken criminal charges should be brought including impechment.
They still will be investigating this stuff when we are all dead and buried. Spin, spin, spin go the wheels.
What I don’t get is why the Bushies did not appoint someone like Fitzgerald to go after the leaker, and the black site leaker. Using the Justice Dept makes it look and smell like payback. Politically, using a non-partisan outsider would at least give them some cover.
That said, they’re two-faced for going after leakers in this case and not in the Plame case. I would not want their karma.
