I’ve long been of the opinion that we should amend the constitution so that anyone who, after the age of 15 or 16, either expresses the desire to be president or the belief that they are qualified to be president is permanently disqualified from the office. Perhaps then, when we have to drag the electee screaming and kicking into the White House will we get someone who’s up to the job.
