Deja Vu All Over Again

I did link to this Juan Cole story Chris Floyd’s talking about, but I don’t think it really got through to people. It’s pretty scary.
Basically, it lays out the Bush plans to start a war with Iran that will tie the hands of the incoming president - just like Bush the elder did with Bill Clinton and Somalia. (Have to keep that money going to their buddies, don’t ya know.)
Even if you read it before, go read Chris’ take.
Thanks for the link. It always seemed as if Bush expected to leave office with provisions to continue the Forever War — and, yes, that’s damn scary. Someday we’ll get our country back, but i doubt it will happen soon enough: It’s been five years, and the fog of war that settled over our nation has never really lifted. Public opinion has turned against the war without really turning toward peace. We’re still wandering around, lost in the fog, while the madness continues.
