JPMargan Chase just announced to day that it is suspending foreclosures in 23 states (including NY and NJ) in order to look into perhaps illegal foreclosure procedures and actions.
Since Obama admires the “savvy businessmen,” that will surely be enough for him. This will give Morgan Chase time to come up with procedures which meet the letter of the laws, but will still result in what they want to achieve. Keep bad assets at previously high levels so their books look OK.
