Let’s talk about al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda’s leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, got his payoff yesterday for helping the U.S., Israel, and the Sunni’s in trying to overthrow Syria’s Assad. His brother Mohammed was released from a military prison by Egypt’s military rulers under orders from the U.S. Mohammed was the leader of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad who assassinated Anwar Sadat. In related news the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now arming the Free Syrian Army opposition. That move pits the Sunni’s against the Shiite’s turning the civil war in Syria into a sectarian war. All bets are now off.
