We can’t go after the banksters who crashed the economy with rigged ratings and phony mortgage securities, but we can go after a Democratic senator who allegedly frequented prostitutes — in a country where it’s legal? Because a wingnut-funded conservative rag like the Daily Caller claims they were underage?
This president just doesn’t understand the basics.
Menendez is a slug. Anybody who brings him down should be given some sort of public service award. If…..if…..that is the Obama Justice Department then good for them. Clap…clap…clap…..
I heard about this during a “joke” by Jay Leno. I only caught the tail end of the “banter,” but I heard Menendez’s name mentions and something about cheap politician who hadn’t paid what the prostitutes wanted or something. It was tied in to a joke about Congress overspending and The Deficit.
So, I googled.
The only things I got on the google search –and I had to reword it to get to the prostitute allegations– were from rightwing blogs and web sites.
And Leno was on it already so soon last night? Interesting….
But the raid on the doctor’s office? Very, very interesting. I wonder what the administration is really after. Getting rid of a somewhat squishy prog/lib vote in the Senate? Lower the Dem majority to make the Senate more amenable to going after SocSec and Medicare?
There was an MCM story about an unpaid intern in Menendez’s office who was quite young, but was listed as a sex offender in…NJ. The kid was from Peru and will be sent back there.
