And even the standards leaked by white paper would offer no explanation for Al Awalaki’s teenage kid’s death by drone a week after his father. These “standards” are cloned from Yoo. Notice that none of the MSM, and even MSNBC can never bring the question back to the murder of that teenager.

One shouldn’t leave Harold Koh, out of the DOJ Policy mix:

02/04/13 Justice Department memo reveals legal case for drone strikes on Americans

“A Justice Department spokeswoman declined to comment on the white paper. The spokeswoman, Tracy Schmaler, instead pointed to public speeches by what she called a “parade” of administration officials, including Brennan, Holder, former State Department Legal Adviser Harold Koh and former Defense Department General Counsel Jeh Johnson that she said outlined the “legal framework” for such operations. ”

Koh noted about Brennan (link data below):

“If John Brennan is the last guy in the room with the president, I’m comfortable, because Brennan is a person of genuine moral rectitude,” Mr. Koh said. “It’s as though you had a priest with extremely strong moral values who was suddenly charged with leading a war.”

(10/25/12 link: The Moral Rectitude Assassination Czar. I should note, since I’m referring to her commentary, that in a December piece, Marcy Wheeler appears to think that Koh may have departed due to disagreement with Brennan. I don’t really feel that assured, myself, and at the very least, feel he owns a large amount of responsibility for the current state of affairs.)
