“Share the wealth,”……part I. The economic system called Capitalism replaced Feudalism. Capitalism came into widspread use after the French Revolution in 1789. It has survived because the Capitalists (Bourgeoisie) smartly shared the wealth (profits) that Capitalism produced with the laboring class in the form of ever increasing wages. “Lift all boats.” In 1981 Ronald Reagan and his trickle-down economics changed that formula. Reagan sanctioned and encouraged greed to be the 1%’s driving motivation. To be continued…….
