I’ve tried to explain this to a few reporters through the years: Namely, that the Republican party in the suburbs is quite entwined with Philadelphia’s Democratic machine.
This illustrates my point. The same heavy hitters that supported the recently-convicted state Sen. Vince Fumo are now backing Pat Meehan, the Republican candidate for Joe Sestak’s open seat.
He was the U.S. Attorney who convicted Fumo. Tidy, huh?
Sestak is such a turd. There’s no reason this seat should be open. If Meehan wins we’ll never be rid of the fucker.
