Why would they consider adding a drop down menu for new posts an improvement? Grrr. Boo for adding another step to a simple task. What about ergonomics?

Yeah, I hate WordPress too. I don’t like the constant updating that requires software downloads to allow for new features. Creating a new post should be a one step process, not multiple steps from a drop down menu. From what I have heard from others that I know, Square Space (www.squarespace.com) is better than WordPress. No updates or having to adjust to “improvements”. Just a simple, yet very powerful website builder without needing to code in HTML. And there is a blog importer tool so all of the blog entries and comments are imported. Take a look at it and if it isn’t for you or you think it is too expensive to switch, then stick with WordPress.
