It seems the Jewish boat attempting to break the siege of Gaza has struck a nerve. Organizers are looking for a second boat due to overwhelming demand. FromHaaretz:

An association of German Jews planning to send a boat with humanitarian aid to break the Gaza blockade is searching for a second vessel, given the high number of requests to travel with the group.

The group, Jewish Voices for a Just Peace, had originally planned to send one small vessel from an unnamed Mediterranean port in mid-July, with the intention of getting aid past the Israeli-imposed blockade of Gaza.

However, spokeswoman Edith Lutz told dpa that “our preparations have been held back somewhat because we have been inundated with requests to travel.”

    Let’s review the facts.

    Fact #1. The Israeli/Egypt Blockade of Gaza is legal, according to international law. There has been no successful legal challenges to the Israeli/Egypt blockade of Gaza in any world court.

    Fact #2. International law, if the form of the San Remo Manual, allows for blockade-breaking vessels to be stopped, siezed and, if necessary, attacked and sunk. This can happen ANY WHERE in the world (sans territorial waters), once a vessel has expressed it’s intent to run a legally established blockade. This is what the law says.

  2. Ah, so now the right-wing zionists in Israel will be telling boatloads of German jews to “go back to Germany.” That will be yet another stunning PR victory for the BiBi crowd. And, since we now know that suggesting that jews return to Germany, Poland, or the US is grounds for summary firing from your job, BiBi and his merry band of whack jobs will be out of their jobs ASAP!
