1. can’t you just take the nasty plastic cover off and then remove the glass.

   If you grind it you’ll probably jam it in the blades and your disposal will stop working. In that case take a broom stick and try to turn the blades manually…

6. send a small plumber down to get it.

7. the stick trick works, but many newer models have an allen key fitting on bottom and they come with a big ass allen wrench that fits and you turn that if it jams.
