One of my very favorite Kinks songs, which means it’s in my Top 1%, period. All he had to do was sing “almanYAC” and he had me, but there’s that sublime middle portion of the song, and then-wife Rasa’s high harmonies throughout. It’s just pop perfection, and unfortunately you and me and maybe 5% of the rest of the planet even *know* about it.
