Democrats brought the measure to the floor under fast-track rules that required a two-thirds vote to pass, so the measure fell despite winning a majority.
Why the hell would they do that??!! To make themselves look good (we wanted to….the GOP blocked! Whaaah!) while also kinda being against the extension themselves??
As usual, no peep from Obama, although I’d expected better from Pelosi.
Can they bring this up again under simple majority rules?
