WikiLeaks

Homeless now.

I consulted a geek friend, who writes:

one option is to just use the ip(s), you’ve seen all the occult biblical number junk on bumperstickers and shirts … so why not the address of the server under stockholm?

there are other names too, wikileaks.no, wikileaks.se, wikileaks.info, …

the truth is wikileaks used a free service (which is crap) and should have used pros.

i expect that wikileaks.org will be up again, as a name, and correctly resolve, but using its name and its address, e.g.,

psst!!!
wikileaks is 46.59.1.2
pass it on!

would reduce the reliance upon an resource that is eventually subject to us jurisdiction.

Also read this in the Gawker comments:

If you want to be able to access Wikileaks go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and open ‘hosts’ with notepad. Then add this below localhost (don’t add quotes) “88.80.13.160 wikileaks.org”
