I’ll let you in on a little secret: Whenever you’re so generous with me, I always pay some of it forward — whether to another blogger in need, or a charity.

I just wanted to tell you that because of your donations, I just donated a flock of chicks at Heifer International, and if you were looking for a place to get an unusual and world-changing gift, this would be a good place to start.

I also spent $30 at the dollar store – PB&J, spaghetti, sauce, instant oatmeal, etc. to donate to the local food bank and I couldn’t believe how much $30 bought. If you can spare it, why not do the same?

  1. For those with time but no money to spare, most Food Banks will welcome volunteers to help their good work.

  2. For my sister’s birthday one year I bought a bee hive from Heifer. That’s an excellent org.

We have a box of canned goods ready for a food pantry and some toys for Toys for Tots ready to go.

  3. I’d say something about flocks of Hefner’s chicks . . . never mind . . .

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, etc etc
