I have had such mixed feelings this week about the repeal of DADT. On one hand, I’m glad that one more aspect of inequality is on its way toward being removed. On the other hand, I can’t bring myself to celebrate the ability of people from the LGBT community to participate in an organization that does so much bad stuff.

Manning knew that from the start. He broke one of the biggest rules: he gave away the secrets and talked out of school.
Any ordinary citizen does what he did, that citizen goes UNDER the jail forever. There’s no crying in baseball or espionage or betrayal. Throughout history, there never has been. Once you betray the secrets of The Village, you will be hunted down and to think otherwise is naive.
I applaud what he did, but he knew what he was getting into.
