What about federal employees? How are they going to go after them?
Bankruptcy judges can’t re-write mortgages, but according to the Republican plan they will be able to re-write pension contracts. And after corporations drive governments into bankruptcy by successfully lobbying to get corporate business taxes cut, the corporations will then get to plunder the public property they are forced to put up for sale to raise money to pay off the tax-free bonds sold to investors.
Just a question that occurs to me: What will happen to the people forced out of work and then forced out of their homes by this process of collecting debt from people who no longer have the money to pay? Is anybody keeping track of this?
In olden times people either emigrated to new lands like America or they entered into a state of debt slavery. Or they just starved and died of exposure.
